By default, using the "rerun failed/incomplete jobs" feature always checks out the same revision from git repository.
Is it possible to rerun the build but pull the current HEAD of a branch?

Use Script task to update the repository first
That's what I've been doing so far, but it means that I have to reconfigure the whole plan, when I'm testing my branch - and I have to reconfigure it back once I'm done. And of course in mid-time, nobody else can use the plan whatsoever.
Are there any other workarounds? Or did you come up with some way of introducing the additional checkout only for my branch plan?

No other workaround. Source Code Checkout task will only perform checkout on the revision from the time of original trigger.
