Is Bamboo will support AWS SAM or AWS CDK on Pipeline creation

Hi Team,

I am having one doubt on Bamboo while creating pipeline it will shows only AWS Cloudformation.  Is it will support AWS SAM template or AWS CDK ?

If possible can anyone provide some example links.

Given Bamboo does not natively support CloudFormation, am I correct to assume that you are asking about the CloudFormation Stack task within our Tasks for AWS (Bamboo) app?

In case, the app does not have explicit support for either AWS SAM or AWS CDK, but implicitly supports both (see also alternative below):

• AWS Serverless Application Model (AWS SAM) apps are regular CloudFormation templates that include the AWS::Serverless transform - after running 'aws sam package', you can reference its S3 URL within the CloudFormation Stack task when you also set the 'Advanced' => 'Capabilities' => 'CAPABILITY_AUTO_EXPAND' parameter to ensure the transform macro is executed (see the CreateStack API action for details)
• AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK) apps are also based on CloudFormation internally - instead of implicitly deploying the stack via 'cdk deploy' with the CDK CLI, you can also run 'cdk synth >template.yaml' and then reference the generated template file within the CloudFormation Stack task as outlined in Injecting task configuration via URLs.

As always, you can also resort to the Bamboo Script task to execute the AWS SAM CLI or AWS CDK CLI directly - in case, you could still use our AWS Credentials Variables task to avoid using long-term AWS credentials in your script and instead inject temporary AWS credentials in a secure fashion.
