Initiate Bamboo deployment via an API call/or automatically

Instead of logging into Bamboo and performing a deployment into an environment, we want to start automatically start the deployment.

Scenario would be.

1). via Bamoo - user would login and action the deployment to the QA environment.

2). When the deployment passes on the QA environment, the manager would approve the  'Deploy to Production" and the deployment would start for the Production environment.

We are trying for a 1 step process, so the Manager doesn't have to login into Bamboo and initiate the deployment

You can definitely trigger a Bamboo deployment through the API. For that, please have a look at the following documentation:

The approval criteria and workflow will need to be defined externally via some automation you will have to create.
