How to use the Bamboo 5.12 API to create a deployment project?

I've been trying to figure out how to create a deployment project and the API documentation is confusing me.

I don't understand what information needs to be passed as a json because the API documentation shows it in xml format.  image2016-6-8 15:3:22.png

Try this snippet, planKey is key of existing plan
