How to synchronize bamboo with crowd

I made some modifications in crowd. This should now ripple to bamboo. How can I do this without restarting, and without waiting until the cache is timed out ?

With embedded crowd coming in version 3.2, you will be able to flush the cached Crowd data, forcing refetch.

I don't think there is a way in 3.1 or below. It looks like embedded crowd is coming in 3.2 so I would imagine if that is the case then you'll be able to sync at any time then. Ike you can in JIRA and Confluence now. Can any Atlassians confirm that?
