How to call HTTP services as a part of Bamboo Build?

I want to call a HTTP -post methods of my application from a Bamboo stand alone server.And them have to issue a ticket on Jira according to the response from the web service call. I am not able to find a Right approach and also Right add-on or plugin to do so. please guys suggest me the way.
