It is not the same but you can create multiple environments in Bamboo - Dev, QA, Prod etc. You can then set up Dev, QA etc to be deployed automatically but set up Prod without any triggers. You will have to manually promote to Prod, when ready.
There is no approve that triggers the deployment but there is an option to Approve or reject the deployments done. So, you can have a workflow where the testing team marks the deploy to QA as approved and the deployment to Prod is done only after that.
