I have a group of users that want to be able to create branches on a plan in bamboo. They don't have Global Admin access but they do have plan level access, yet they are still getting errors of "Need admin access to create branches". One thought I had is that the group name is case sensitive and not recognizing the access (as I added the group and in the directory of Bamboo, the name in in lower case, or that the group needs global Admin rights to create the branches, even through they have plan admin access (and should be able to configure everything on the plan).
I am a bit befuddled as to why this isn't working.
Hi James,
Currently the user would need create plan or admin privilege to create branches.
There is an open feature request BAM-18162 - Allow users to create build plan branches to change this.
Please watch and vote on the issue to raise its visibility. Also any comments on the feature request will help the developers assess its need. I have added this community thread to the feature request.
thanks
Chris
