Errors updating MySQL for Bamboo

We are attempting to upgrade the MySQL database for our Bamboo server. We are running Bamboo v 6.1.1 on Windows Server 2008 R2. Our MySQL version is 5.6; we are trying to update to 5.7.

When we run the update command in MySQL, we get "unknown system variable" errors for both the 'storage_engine' and 'have_csv' variables. We are using the Windows ZIP installer to upgrade.

I am unable to find these settings in the config file, and am unsure how to address or correct this so the upgrade will succeed.

Hi @Mike Becker,

This issue seems similar to this one: MySQL Bugs: #42028: mysql_upgrade fails with "Unknown system variable 'have_csv'"

I recommend you to seek for help on MySQL forums/support or more general forums. The Atlassian Community will be the best place to address problems related to the Atlassian application.

May thanks. I have already done so.
