Hi all,
The performance of the bamboo server is getting worse with builds getting timeouts and is extremely slow. I have 15 local agents running, but not all agents are actively building at the same time. The server health looks decent during peak hours.
I'm not sure if the number of local agents has any effect to the server performance. Has anyone experienced something similar and managed to resolve it?
Thanks in advance.
Hello Janicch,
Yes, the number of local agents can affect server performance.
Too many local agents can start to impact Bamboo’s performance because local agents run inside the same JVM as Bamboo itself.
Unless you have 8 cores and 64GB RAM, ~3 local agents are about as many as you can accommodate comfortably.
I hope that helps.
