Hello, I had to do a restore of my bamboo server as the original server crashed. I was able to get everything back up and running but now when I try to access my repository it's giving me the following

Unknown cipher data id 0

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unknown cipher data id 0

I checked and my cipher.key_0 is there but it may not match what's in the db. The version of bamboo i am running is 5.15.3

Can you let me know what i can do to resolve this?

Hi @Vinh Tran

Two things you need to check:

  1. Is this cipher file the exact same one when you created the backup?
  2. Does the user or service running Bamboo at the moment have ownership on this file?
Please check this document for this case: Unknown cipher data id 0 when performing certain actions in Bamboo on Windows after switching Bamboo to run as a Service

Please let me know if one of those can help you moving forward.
