Cannot open git-upload-pack Error Message When Using Git.exe
I am trying to use Bamboo on a Windows 2008 R2 server with Git installed via MSYSGit.
When the Plan runs I get the following error message

It looks like it's related to credentials or even network access to github.com
The important error I think is
Caused by: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect github.com
If you're running as a windows service it's possible that your bamboo instance is running under a service account which has not ssh keys setup to talk to github.
You could try logging into the server and running bamboo from your user and making sure the builds work.
However note that Craig is using https:// protocol, not ssh:// - so probably it's not the ssh key setup issue at all... Or could it be?

It might be a good idea to raise a Bamboo support request via http://support.atlassian.com - the issue seems to me being not a trivial one.
Anyway - a few troubleshoot questions:
* can your Windows 2008 R2 server instance (the one with the Bamboo server) happily connect to the https://github.com/WorldvisionAustralia/FamineWebsite.git using command-line git? From the same user/service you are running Bamboo?
* what would happen if you'd created a dummy Bamboo Plan having only one Task of type Script containing something like "git clone https://github.com/WorldvisionAustralia/FamineWebsite.git" ? Just to test if the problem is related to the connection between your machine/user and the github, or whether it's a bug(?) in the Bamboo-Git logic.
