Can I build a docker image using a bamboo container?

I have deployed the Atlassian bamboo server docker image.  I have the bamboo container configured and running. I'm trying to build a docker image to deploy to ECR.  Is it possible to run docker commands within a running bamboo container (i.e. docker within a docker container)?  If so, can you point me to an example please---thanks in advance1
