HI Team,

We have on-prem Bamboo server installed and it has a project with 200+ plans(Build+Deploy). Now we have to move this entire data from this Bamboo server (windows)to Bamboo(Linux) data center instance, everything including Logs, plans, ... etc information.

Please let me know the best way to transfer  our data from Windows Bamboo instance to Linux Bamboo instance .

Already referred this link lhttps://confluence.atlassian.com/bamboo/exporting-data-for-backup-289277255.html , but still need your support.

Hello Dev G,

Welcome to Atlassian Community.

I think for your scenario you can refer this > https://confluence.atlassian.com/bamboo/cloning-a-bamboo-instance-289277407.html

There are two ways to do it, read the above page for detailed steps

1) Use Import and Export

2) Manually transfer the DB and Bamboo Home

Shashank Kumar

Adding to the above, performing a full export/ import of a Bamboo instance can be very time consuming depending on the amount of artifacts and build logs you have. If your current instance has grown too large and export/ import does not work, you can still migrate your instance by using an alternative backup and restore strategy.

You can refer - https://confluence.atlassian.com/bamkb/how-to-migrate-a-bamboo-instance-with-a-large-number-of-artifacts-and-build-logs-1093015034.html

Hello Dev G,

When you say Apps, do you mean External third party apps/Plugins which you have installed in your Bamboo system, please clarify.

Hello Dev G,

You cannot move specific plans and Deployments easily. Import and Export will copy all the data from source to Destination.

If you want to move only specific plans and deployment, you should try Bamboo specs.https://confluence.atlassian.com/bamboo/bamboo-specs-894743906.html
