Bamboo variable incrementer task if plan fails

We have 3 tasks - where second task is of type Variable Version Incrementer and then it shares the incremented value with the last task.

Issue is, if last task fails still the version variable value is incremented.

I want help in finding a way where if any of the tasks, after the version increment task, fails then the version variable should retrieve its last value.

@Arpan Mehetre I suggest you separate your plan into 2 stages:

• First stage: this job will include 3 of your tasks and the 2nd task is of type Variable Version Incrementer. An import thing for 2nd task is the local scope
• Second stage: this job will contain only 1 task with type Variable Version Incrementer. This is configured the same as 2nd task but the global scope

With this configuration, when the task 3 failed, the version is still kept with the last value
