Bamboo provisioning Amazon EC2 Instances

Karol Sójko June 9, 2014

Hi,

I'm using a Vagrant + Puppet setup now for local development. I wanted to use Bamboo for CI and in order to do that I wanted to run the tests in the same environment as locally.

So the question is: is there a way Bamboo can provision/setup Amazon Instances every time with a Puppet or for example Docker configuration? Or is there a different way to ensure I always have the same environments?

Hi Karol,

You should be able to configure Amazon's EBS to house all of the config/data/files you want and attach it to your AWS instance. Please see https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/BAMBOO/Configuring+elastic+instances+to+use+the+EBSfor more information on using EBS with Bamboo.

Thanks

Turner
