Bamboo and Jira migration to Cloud

Hi community,
We are about to migrate our Jira to the Cloud and we would like to know if there are any particular actions to be taken so that our links in Bamboo are still functional and point to Jira Cloud.
Only the application links to recreate or are there other elements to anticipate?

Hi David,

Thank you for your question.

Here are the requirements Bamboo needs in order to connect to Jira Cloud.

Requirements:

  • You must have administrator permissions on both the Cloud application (JIRA) and the stand-alone Bamboo.
  • Bamboo Server must be accessible via either port 80, 8085, 8443, or 443.
  • Check the Base URL for Bamboo Server is set correctly.
  • If SSL is used, you need to have a valid certificate, a self-signed certificate can NOT be used.
  • Your Bamboo Server needs to be reachable by the JIRA Software Cloud IP range. Please refer to Database and IP information for details on the IP range used by JIRA Software Cloud.
  • The URL for the application must fulfill the RFC 1738 URL standards.

You may need to also configure some of the Atlassian cloud IP ranges and domains. - https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/database-and-ip-information-744721662.html

You can find the information above on this documentation - https://confluence.atlassian.com/bamkb/linking-jira-cloud-with-self-hosted-bamboo-389284242.html

Once the above has been verified you just need to create the Application Link.

Hope that helps.
