Any way to hide passwords in mercurial checkout?

I have mercurial repository being checked out as part of my plan using password authentication.  If I view ps -ef while the plan is running and repo is being checked out, I will see username and password in the python checkout command.  Is there a way to mask passwords from being shown in ps -ef?  I'm using RHEL.

Edit: Note that since bamboo uses built-in SVN library, there's no password leaking into ps list when checking out SVN repositories.
