On 31 May, a GDPR-related change went live in the Bitbucket Cloud API that resulted in users not being able to create or edit Bitbucket Cloud Linked repositories in Bamboo.
This API update removed the "username" field that Bamboo expects to receive in the JSON response from Bitbucket Cloud. As Bamboo uses that username for authentication checks, this change resulted in 401 (Unauthorized) exceptions when creating and editing Bitbucket Cloud Linked repositories.
The Bamboo development team quickly implemented a fix for Bamboo, which was released in Bamboo versions 6.8.3 and 6.9.1.
If you use Bitbucket Cloud with Bamboo and use older versions, please upgrade Bamboo as soon as possible to restore this functionality.
If you are unable to upgrade right away, as a workaround, you can create "Git" or "Mercurial" Linked repositories in Bamboo.
