G’day Bamboo customers,
The wait is almost over! We are in the final stages of work on the first release of Bamboo Data Center, our self-managed enterprise offering of Bamboo. This Data Center offering will have the resilience, reliability, and scalability that enterprise teams require for their mission-critical applications. In preparation for the launch, we’d like to invite you to join our early access program for Bamboo Data Center!
This release will bring a number of breaking changes related to Lucene, CVS, and Mercurial support. More information can be found in the release notes.
Customers will have access to two new features:
Improved build resilience - eliminates the loss of long-running builds in the event of an outage
Cold standby HA - enforces redundancy and enables a quick recovery from outages.
This release does not include all new features that will be part of the final 8.0 release, as the focus of this EAP is getting feedback on the two core DC features.
Step 1: Install Bamboo 8.0 from this EAP page
Step 2: Download and enter the license key
Step 3: Test out all the new features and share feedback on the community post or through your Atlassian rep
Note this license includes 1,000 agents and will expire on Jul 31, 2021
All existing Bamboo server customers are eligible to participate. However, this EAP is based on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once we’ve hit capacity, we’ll update this post to reflect those changes.
Will participating in the Early Access Program affect my existing Atlassian bill?
No, the program is free for existing customers!
This release should not be used in a production environment.
Please share any feedback or questions you might have by commenting under this post and our developer team will get back to you.
