Hello Community  Scott from Automation Platform here again. Today, I want to share a quick update on two changes we’re making to the Automation Template Library for Jira Cloud:
New template categories
Search and filtering of templates
Let’s dive in and take a look!
We’ve removed some categories and added new ones based on recent user research interviews. During these interviews, we aimed to understand our users' mental models to help group our Automation templates efficiently. This approach is intended to save you time and improve your efficiency when using the library.
The final decision was categorising templates with "action-based" names and assigning "team type" names where applicable.

Note that the templates aren’t changing—just how they are categorised. We hope these changes will make browsing automation templates easier and help you find what you’re looking for at a glance.
The ability to search and filter the template library is now available, enabling better management and discoverability of automation templates.
Start by typing in a keyword to quickly find the templates relevant to what you want to do or filter by the specific category of templates you want to see.
This is just the beginning; expect new filters in the future.
To access Automation templates in Jira Cloud:
Navigate to Automation
For project automation, select Project settings > Automation
For global automation, select Jira settings > System > Global automation.
Select Templates.
We’d love your feedback, so please don't hesitate to schedule time with us directly here or leave a comment on this post 🙌
