Is this legit??

I found a freelancer job on social media and I contact them via telegram. This is what he said." My name is Sudhish Keertha, I am from Abu Dhabi UAE but working here in USA, I am recruitment manager at Atlassian New York." When asked about the job task he said that retyping would be handled and [134JPEGS files/pages] should be converted into a single PDF within 4 days.

Pay Fixed: £4,800.
Title: "The National Curriculum for England"
Commissioned by - UK Department for Education, Government empowered.

May I know if this is legit or a scam?

It is a scam.  Atlassian are not a recruitment company.  The UK government does not commission work like this either.

I recieved the same they sent me a contract to fill and sign it up and offered me a project for £4800 thank God it is scam I got to know before wasting my time. I want data typing work , I'm a Freelancer with 3 years experience.

@ADEIFE ADEGOKE How did they contact you?  What channels did they use to reach out to you?  It would help if you could report that account to the service provider they used to try to scam you. 

If this was gmail then there is a link on https://support.google.com/mail/contact/abuse?hl=en where you can report that account.

If it was telegram, then https://t.me/notoscam can be used to report such accounts.

If it was some other service please let us know and we can try to find the appropriate place to report this.

@Linda Mondragón Please report that account to WhatsApp.  We do not use that service.  Only WhatsApp would be able to disable that account.

Could you please report that account to Telegram?  Atlassian does not use the Telegram service in any capacity.  I recommend reporting them to Telegram directly in https://t.me/notoscam

Reporting these accounts could help to slow or stop the scammers here.

Could you please report those email addresses to Google? There is a link on https://support.google.com/mail/contact/abuse?hl=en

Atlassian does not use gmail.com addresses for any official communications.  We have seen numerous reports from users that have been seemingly offered employment to post to Community, but Atlassian does not offer any such programs.

As for the Telegram account, Atlassian does not use this service in any capacity.  I recommend reporting them to Telegram directly in https://t.me/notoscam

Reporting these accounts could help to slow or stop the scammers here.
