I haven't finished exploring the new AI features yet, so I might end up finding the answer to this question eventually :)

Can we train the summarize feature to ignore certain aspects of pages?  For example, I have a space with thousands of pages generated from a template, that template has several "tips" on how to use the template that usually do not get removed.  This is causing the summary to be most of those instructions and very little content.  For this use case, if I could tell Intelligence to ignore anything in a "tip" macro for the summary that would solve the issue.  My next thought would be to mass-edit years of pages to remove the "tips", but that thought hurts my head.

Good question @Shawn Doyle - ReleaseTEAM
I don't know the answer, but I like the idea of being able to exclude macro content, for example.

Hi @Shawn Doyle - ReleaseTEAM and @Curt Holley !

Thank you for taking time to leave feedback on the AI Summarize feature as you explore Atlassian Intelligence. PM for the AI Summarize feature here 👋!

We are currently working on building better support and instructions for our summary prompt model to focus on summarizing key content of pages. We sometimes see the model summarize some template instructions when prioritizing content to summarize, which is not ideal. Will take your suggestion back to our team!

+ Would love to continue to hear any feedback you both have on training/improving the AI Summarize model (especially which macros specifically you'd like the model to ignore) - please find time here  https://calendly.com/alieu1/confluence-ai-summary-research

Thanks @Annie Lieu ultimately it would be good to be able to pick which macros on a page by page (Summarize by Summarize) basis.
As, on one page the expand macro may be not content you would want included, but on another page it is.

I have noticed that the more content on the page the less likely Summize is to focus on the instructions or info boxes.  Less likely that is, never say never.  Unless that data is in a table, then it never uses it in the summary.
