Release notes for this week courtesy of @mattjared and our new designer @cchiodo, who is releasing her first feature this week!
This first item has been on our wishlist for a long time: improvements to the "accept answer" experience. The rate of users coming back to mark their answers has been low, and we've also heard from users that it was hard for them to figure out what to click, or that they didn't understand the distinction between upvoting and accepting. We've made two related changes to this experience.
Updated: The "Accept Answer" button is now much more prominent and hopefully this will make it clearer to questioners who want to let us know an answer worked for them!
Updated: On a related note, the reminder email sent to questioners to remind them to come back and review their answers now will let them click through to get to the answer and accept it:
Updated: We've expanded the drop-down industry list on your profile page so you now have more to choose from. Edit your extended profile to select a more accurate industry; or if you're a professional ice-sculptor or a Colombian weasel trainer, you can now choose Other Industry.
Updated: The number of posts listed on each group page now shows an accurate post count. (Previously, it was showing a count of threads rather than posts.)
That's all for this week; feedback and questions warmly welcomed in the comments below!
This is great! Thank you for adding the Accept Answer button!
