Introducing Dashboard Import/Export in Atlassian Analytics!

Hi Atlassian Community,

We've added a way to export and import dashboards to enhance your dashboard management experience. With this new capability, you'll be able to easily transfer dashboards across different Analytics workspaces, making it faster than ever to manage and share your dashboards.

This feature is designed to simplify the process of moving dashboards between sites. Whether you're testing dashboards in one environment before deploying them to others, or managing multiple sites, this feature will save you time and effort. Previously, recreating charts, controls, and content across sites was a manual and time-consuming task. Now, you can export and import dashboards, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

This feature is also a game-changer for our Atlassian partners. You can now create standard dashboards that serve as templates across multiple customers, streamlining your workflow and enhancing collaboration.

How it works

• Import/Export Dashboards: Easily transfer dashboards between sites with just a few clicks.

• Consistency Across Sites: Maintain uniformity in your analytics by using the same dashboards across different environments.

• Partner Templates: Create and share standard dashboards with your customers, enhancing your service offerings.

To transfer a dashboard between workspaces:

1. Open the dashboard you want to transfer.

2. Select Export > Export as JSON from the dashboard sidebar. This will save the dashboard’s JSON file to your device.

3. Open the workspace that you want to transfer the dashboard to.

4. From the global navigation, select Create > Import using JSON file.

5. Add the JSON file you got earlier.

6. Select a data source for the new dashboard. Read our support documentation for data source limitations.

7. Select Import.
