Not receiving verification emails

When attempting to access my organisation's Confluence and Jira I am prompted to verify my email to re-verify my Atlassian account. I have tried several times but I am not receiving the verification emails. I believe the problem may be due to the fact that I recently changed my email from "firstname@organisation.com" to "firstname.lastname@organisation.com" (obviously I've substituted my personal details).

I have aliased my old email address with my new email address so I should still be receiving the verification emails. I have tested the alias myself and it is working. Is it possible to change my account's email address without requiring a verification email or to fix the verification emails?
