I have created ideas in Jira Discovery. I want to add the atlas goals and projects to the ideas but the atlas goals and projects columns are not visible in Jira Discovery.
Hi @Lakshmi C - you'll need to request access from the JPD team. You can ask on this thread: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Product-Discovery-articles/Upcoming-product-improvements-Atlas-integration-ready-for-early/ba-p/2195274
Hi @Lakshmi C ,
If you're unable to view the "Atlas Goals" and "Projects" columns in Jira Discovery, it's possible that they are not enabled or configured properly in your Jira instance. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check your Jira configuration: Ensure that the "Atlas Goals" and "Projects" fields are added to the appropriate screens, such as the issue view screen or the board configuration screen. If they are not added to the screens, you won't be able to see them.
2. Verify field visibility: Make sure that the field configurations for "Atlas Goals" and "Projects" are set to be visible to the appropriate user groups or projects. You can check this by going to the "Field Configuration" section in Jira administration and reviewing the settings for these fields.
3. Validate issue types: Confirm that the "Atlas Goals" and "Projects" fields are associated with the correct issue types that you are using in Jira Discovery. If they are not associated with the right issue types, you won't see them in the desired projects or boards.
4. Review project permissions: Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to view and edit the "Atlas Goals" and "Projects" fields. Check your project permissions and make sure that you have the required access levels to see these fields.
5. Consider add-ons or customizations: If you are using any add-ons or customizations in your Jira instance, they might affect the visibility of certain fields. Review the documentation or consult with your Jira administrator to ensure that there are no conflicting settings or configurations.
If you've gone through these steps and still cannot view the "Atlas Goals" and "Projects" columns in Jira Discovery, it may be helpful to reach out to your Jira administrator or support team for further assistance. They can provide more specific guidance based on your Jira configuration and any potential issues that might be causing the problem.
