I use tags to create a custom view for my program's OKRs because I want to get a hierarchy view of parent goals and sub-goals (Program -> Objectives -> Annual KRs -> Quarterly KRs). Right now for each goal and sub-goal, I have to add the same tag. Is there a way for sub-goals to inherit tags from parent goals? Or is there a way to display the hierarchy view of the Goals without creating a custom view? Thx!
Lu
Hi, Lu, sub goals currently can't inherit tags from parent goals.
I did however just notice that if you tag a parent goal but don't tag its subgoals, then filter goals by the tag, the results show your parent goal but does not show its sub-goals. This is an interesting issue that I'll take back to the team.
Not trying to solve this right now but if you filtered goals by tag and found your parent goal would you hope to also see its sub-goals in that view?
Yes, I expect to see the sub-goals. If that can be achieved, that would be great! I do not have to specify the tag for each sub-goal anymore.

@Niraj Patil Is there a plan to enable sub goals inherit tags from parent goals? It is a much-needed feature that will help our team greatly when it comes to the planning. We plan to start to use the Goals tool for our entire eng org's annual and quarterly planning. Right now, we have to manually add tags (and multiple of them) to each goal and sub-goal. It is not only inconvenient but also error-prone. Any mistake may cause the filtering or roll-up reports to go wrong.
