I like the idea of using tags or something to help group items for an Atlas project, but this is another layer/task that will add to the overhead of creating our JIRA projects. I'd love to be able to use something we are already using (and remembering to use) like labels.

In Jira and Confluence they are called "labels". Atlas calls the same concept a "Tag" or "Topic" depending on where in the UI you are looking. It would be nice if they were renamed to all be the same.

More importantly, they should automatically sync between linked Atlas projects and Jira epics.

Hi @Brittany Dabb - tags and labels are the same concept. Our Atlas <> JSW integration even keeps them in sync for you - so if you'd like to use labels on the Jira side, they'll automatically be created as Tags on the Atlas Project. This should help with using something you're already using!
