Teams syncing from Jira?

I'm having trouble figuring out the Teams part of Atlas:
1. My team didn't show up in Atlas, so I created one -- but later I ended up with a duplicate. It seems like the second one came from Jira, and it appeared either after I linked the Jira epic to the issue or after my teammate signed into ATlas. 
2. Seemingly randomly (to me), the Teams page in Atlas gets more teams and team members.

My questions:
1. What triggers at Jira team to show up in Atlas Teams?
2. Is there a way to see our existing teams in the Teams view, so we can prevent creating duplicates?

Hi @Casey Watts ! 

1. Teams are the same concept between Atlas and Jira. The teams you create in Jira are available (with the exception today, of Advanced Roadmaps) in Atlas. Where did your team not show up in Atlas? On the project or the team directory?  

2. You should be able to see or search for your existing teams across your organisation from the team directory: https://team.atlassian.com/people/search?screen=BROWSE_ALL
