Create Teams via API

My organization manages "teams" through an in-house tool, as the team structure doesn't map to our Org chart and changes frequently.

Is there a way to create Teams in Platform Experiences via an API? We'd like to not have to manage them in 2 places, and want the Goals in Platform Experiences to map to the teams we've created in our system.

I found this API documentation but I'm not sure if it's referring to Platform Experiences teams or something else?

I believe this is the right API for Atlas/Platform Experience. The team is at the Org level, not within the projects. You could run some tests with Postman to see if it's able to do what you want.

Do you know what account Id is needed to map individuals?

@Eleanor Mallory It's the Atlassian accountId, which you can obtain at a site level with this API, if you have their username (email address):
