The Atlassian Community can help you and your team get more value out of Atlassian products and practices.
Don't you just love it when things come together and fall in place, just like they should?
Staying on top of your organization’s work just got simpler, with filtering by reporting line in the Atlas project and goal directories!
That's right, we have combined the power of the org chart (reporting lines) and project/goals information to provide a powerful view that lets you instantly see what a manager reports are working on
(Project directory filtered by reporting line)
You can do the same on the Goals directory as well. Combine with other filters for powerful search and reporting!
The work to make this filtering possible has also enabled us to efficiently track the total number of reports under a manager including indirect reports, and display this in the reporting line component in people and teams. On user profiles, you can now see the total number of reports a user has, and hover over for a breakdown of total vs. direct reports.
NOTE: This feature requires your workspace to have synced manager information from your external identity provider (a tool used by your IT admin to manage employee information). You can learn more about how to set it up here.
As always, feel free to drop your feedback/questions. We hope you like it đź‘‹
