Why can't I edit a board?

I cannot edit a free workspace eventhough the number of boards and collaborators do not exceed ten.

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Can you use Jira Cloud free plan? Some permissions cannot be set in the free plan. Maybe I don't understand exactly what your problem is.
