Dear Product Team,
I hope this message finds you well. As a user of the Cloud version, I’ve noticed that it currently only supports manual asset uploads. I’m interested in understanding the roadmap for future enhancements related to asset management.
Specifically, I’d like to know if there are plans to introduce automated asset integration flows in the cloud version. Will there be features that allow us to schedule and automate the ingestion of asset data? Such improvements would significantly enhance efficiency and accuracy for our organization.
Could you please share insights into any upcoming developments in this area? Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Best regards,
Hi Vincent,
Through Assets Data Manager, there are some existing API adapters that will allow consumption of data from Asset tools like Lansweeper, Flexera One (or FNMS) or even the asset data from ServiceNow. There are over 30 OOTB adapters for data consumption. All of these, including manual CSV uploads can be scheduled to update on your desired frequency into the Data Manager feature and then into your Assets Schema. Any scheduling tool in use in your organisation can be used to schedule these tasks from the Adapters Client Server/workstation, something like Windows Task Scheduler, or BMC's Control-M, etc as there is currently no in-product scheduler.
For Assets, in addition to CSV and JSON there are apps available through Marketplace as well as custom integrations option via our APIs, to ingest data from various tools, so you can route data into Assets either directly into your Schema's or bring them in via the Assets Data Manager feature, as noted above.
Whilst scheduling for schema level imports is on our roadmap, we don't have a specific date for this yet. We'd encourage you to follow this ticket for updates: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-9920.
