Hello Atlassian Community!
My name is Sandy and I lead product marketing for Atlassian Guard. In today's world, security isn't just a nice-to-have—it's a must. We know our customers want more flexibility in security controls and more efficiency in how you scale access management. This is why we launched Guard Premium and continued to deliver new capabilities and enhancements for both plans of Atlassian Guard.
I am delighted to bring you some exciting updates our team has built for Atlassian Guard – all to give you peace of mind, knowing that your data is protected and your processes are streamlined. Whether you’re a security expert or an admin who wants to keep their organization secure, these new features are designed with you in mind.
We built Atlassian Guard Premium to provide you with granular controls and actionable detections that quickly alert you of suspicious activity and data misuse. Since the general availability launch in October, we’ve heard from customers about how they want more policy controls, more detection types, and automation to make their work more efficient. We’ve continued to focus on delivering just that!
Guard Premium now helps you spot unusual activities across more surface areas and automates responses to alerts. With features like Jira content scanning, remediation automation rules, and data redaction, you can stay ahead of potential risks effortlessly. Guard Premium can now help you:
Protect data with more granular classification policies
Org-level default classification for Confluence – apply an overarching rule across your organization then apply exceptions to the data security policy
Block anonymous access to Confluence content by classification – protect classified content by preventing people with anonymous access from viewing
API integration for classification labels in Jira – automate data classification labels to Jira with your org-wide cybersecurity tool, such as Zscaler
Stay alert with new detection coverage
Jira content scanning – detect potentially sensitive data being added to Jira issues, including credentials, financial data, and identity data
Detect mobile app policy changes – monitor for potentially suspicious behavior as it relates to any shifts in mobile security policies
Detect API user token created / revoked – ensure compliance and quickly track token creation history in event of an incident
Automate how you respond to alerts & redact data
Investigation & remediation automation rules for Confluence – streamline alert remediations by automating the workflow for alerts with clear remediation processes
Redact sensitive data in Confluence content – comply with strict data retention policies by redacting data directly from the alert
Guard Standard provides centralized visibility and flexible security controls to help you manage user access securely and efficiently. In the last few months, managing user access just got a whole lot simpler. Guard Standard now lets you enforce single sign-on for external users and sync user attributes more flexibly. Plus, it supports up to 500K users, so you can scale without a hitch. Guard Standard can now help you:
Protect user access and data with granular policies
Enforce single sign-on (SSO) on external users – apply a policy to require external users, such as contractors and consultants, to authenticate through SSO before accessing content
Sync user principal name (UPN) attributes from Microsoft Entra – ability to sync UPN, instead of email addresses, as the primary identifier for users
Block anonymous access to Confluence content by product/space – protect content by preventing people with anonymous access from viewing specific products and spaces
Multiple mobile app management (MAM) policies – create multiple MAM policies to manage varying levels of restriction for different mobile apps
Public APIs to manage data security policies – efficiently manage the lifecycle of data security policies (create, update, activate) with APIs
SCIM support for 500K users – supports a growing number of users via SCIM
