๐Ÿ‘ฃ What changes did I make to Jira issues? 3 options you should know about

If you want to see what Jira issues you worked on and updated during some past time, there are a few helpful alternatives. We will not count history for a single issue, only for multiple ones. In the examples below, you will find options suitable for checking your changelog or other users' activities. Check them out and find what works best for you.

1. Personal user activity in Jira

If you want to review all tasks you recently worked on, this information is available in your Jira account. It will provide you with a general list of issues and notes like: you commented an hour ago, you updated 2 days ago.

You canโ€™t see what exactly you changed (summary, description, status). The only way to do it is to open a task and look at its history.

2. Activity Streams Gadget

Activity Streams Gadget shows all users' activities, and also you can filter to see updates made by you. 

How to configure: 

  • Go to Dashboards (create one if you havenโ€™t before) โ†’ Add gadget โ†’ Choose Activity Stream (itโ€™s the first in the list).
  • Click on the Three dots menu โ†’ Configure โ†’ Add filter โ†’ Choose Account ID โ†’ Start typing user name and choose from the list.

โœ… Also, you can add more filters if you need: project, issue key, and updated date (itโ€™s only possible to choose a single date). 

3. Issue History for Jira plugin

Issue History for Jira is a journal of all past user activities on the issue level. It records any change for standard and custom Jira fields. The best thing about this plugin is its flexibility and customization: you can create the report you need with a bunch of filters and columns manager.

To get changes made by a specific user (updater), select a person who made changes (updater). Start typing your name in the โ€œUpdated byโ€ field and choose the user from the dropdown list.

What can you do additionally to customize your report:

โœ… Filter issues by project, sprint, reporter, etc.

โœ… Choose the date range. Here you can select any timeframes, not only one fixed date.

โœ… Incude to columns any standard or custom field where you want to see changes.

Also, you can export the report to CSV/Excel.
