Why short-lived branch analyses on sonar cloud aren't displayed within SonarQube Connector for Jira?

egemen.turkyilmaz July 26, 2024

Hello,

I'm currently using "SonarQube Connector for Jira" to keep track of the code analyses in my Jira project without switching my context. But I have an issue with my short-lived branches.

SonarQube Connector for Jira doesn't seem to be able to work with short-lived branches. I've checked every documentation space that they've provided but didn't see it mentioned.

The error message that I receive is like the following:Screenshot from 2024-07-26 12-08-21.png

If there is any solution to this error other than switching my branch to "long-lived" type in sonarcloud, I'll be glad to hear.

Hi!

We've released a new version of the plugin.

You should now be able to see the short-lived branches. (In Jira Cloud, you don't need to update the plugin, it's an automatic process)

Can you try it out and let us know if it works for you now?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.

Hi!

The feature of short-lived and long-lived branches was removed from SonarQube a long time ago. But SonarCloud still keeps it, and the Web API should be a little bit different, or it may have change now.

Let us check it out and we will come back to you as soon as possible.

Best regards.
