What does Estimated Time means in Zephyr Scale?

neha jagwani August 5, 2024

Hi,

I would like to check what's the meaning of the field 'Estimated Time' in Zephyr scale.

Let's say, am testing an insurance application -> New policy creation and I set the estimated time to 10 mins in my test case.

So, does it mean that I need 10 mins to test a new policy creation inside the insurance application?

OR

does it mean that I need 10 mins to execute the test case inside my test cycle?

Hi,

Can I suggest you use the Zephyr Scale community for posts like this.  You will get support from actual users of the system (I am active on that forum).  You can find it here: Zephyr Scale Community

To answer your question, the estimated time is the time you estimate it will take to execute all steps in a test case.  There is a timer feature in the test player that can be used to time how long it takes to execute a test case, and it will start once you hit the 'play' button.
