ScriptRunner Post-Function does not update my custom field

Hello everyone

I have this post-function in one of my workflow transitions.

import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor
import com.atlassian.jira.issue.CustomFieldManager
import com.opensymphony.workflow.WorkflowContext
import com.atlassian.jira.user.ApplicationUser

CustomFieldManager customFieldManager = ComponentAccessor.getCustomFieldManager()

def cField = customFieldManager.getCustomFieldObject("customfield_11904")
ApplicationUser currentUser = ((WorkflowContext) transientVars.get("context")).getCaller() as ApplicationUser

issue.setCustomFieldValue(cField, currentUser)

I would like to set the custom field user picker to the user performing this transition. The code above doesn't seem to have any errors but when trying to transition the issue it throws the following error.

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: groovy/lang/GroovyObject
