Hi,

We're using Confluence quite a lot for software product development, documentation etc. Latest addition is to add a forum to discuss product matters. The only thing we found then was the Community Bubbles plugin from Adaptavist. By then it was free (we're still on 4.2) but now when we think about upgrading Confluence we bump into two "issues". First of all Adaptavist have splitted the plugin into two different parts where one is free and one comes with a license cost. :-( Secondly Atlassian have introduced Confluence Questions BETA which basically does the same thing but nicer and better.

Some questions:

  1. Anyone who have or have thought about if it is possible to migrate data from Community Bubbles to Confluence Questions? They are basically both Confluence pages I guess?
  2. Have anyone really understood what you should pay Adaptavist for? For me it seems like they just splitted the plugin but it has same limitied documentation and no new features. It also lags behind the Confluence upgrades (currently supporting 5.2.5). What would I pay for?

Thanks and regards,

/Henrik

Hi wondered if you tried the migration. Like you our upgrades are constantly held back by the community bubbles plug in.  We bought the paid version of forums but couldn't upgrade to use it since we still needed the community bubbles to be compatible with the upgrade.
