Among the issue types in Jira Structure Gantt, only the schedule for Sub-taks is not displayed!

JeongSooYoung March 13, 2024

I would like to inquire about the Jira Structure Gantt function. In the case of Sub-tasks, Start date / End date are not indicated in Gantt, so I don't know where to solve this problem.

Hello @JeongSooYoung

The Sub-tasks Extend transformation is indeed relevant here. Transformations work locally in the browser, which means that only you can see Sub-tasks in the structure; if another user opens the same structure, they won't see the Sub-tasks until they themselves enable the same Extend transformation.

Gantt charts are not affected by transformations of any kind, that's why no bars appear for Sub-tasks - technically, from the chart's perspective, the Sub-tasks don't exist in the structure.

To display their bars, you should use the Sub-tasks Extend generator instead of the transformation. Then the issues will be added to the structure in its core and the Gantt chart will recognize them as well.

I hope this helps. If you have other questions about Structure, please reach out to us directly at our support portal and we'll get back to you shortly.

Best regards,

Find additional information and leave a comment. I think it's not visible because of the 'sub-tasks' group filter, but I'm not sure how to solve it. If you do not use this filter, the sub-task under the 'Story' task will not be displayed.
