Hello Folks,
I hope everyone has been enjoying the first couple of months of the year 2024!
As Atlassian hosts Team Tour: Government event this month, miniOrange extends its warm regards and support to all participants. While we regretfully cannot be physically present due to our own security conference commitments, we are eager to connect and contribute to the conversation surrounding crucial security considerations in the public sector.
In response to the increasing need to safeguard sensitive data, there's been news around the U.S. government's significant step in recommending Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) sign-in procedures for all federal agency staff. In an era where safeguarding sensitive information is essential, miniOrange recognizes the significance of robust security measures.
Thus, we're excited to highlight our Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) plugin, designed to fortify government agencies' digital defenses and ensure data integrity.
Our solution aligns perfectly with the Federal Zero Trust Strategy by emphasizing continuous verification and phishing-resistant MFA login methods. We offer WebAuthn as one of our authentication methods which is a crucial component of the FIDO2 standard and provides robust protection against phishing. Users can authenticate using system authenticators like Windows Hello, Apple ID, and Android biometrics, ensuring secure access to Atlassian apps. WebAuthn's strength comes from its use of public key cryptography, user consent, and hardware tokens or biometrics, making it highly resistant to phishing.
Furthermore, our solution supports various authentication methods like YubiKey Hardware tokens, Mobile Authenticators, Duo Push Notification, OTP over SMS & Email, Security Questions and Back up Code.
In addition to these, the miniOrange 2FA solution has a comprehensive suite of functionalities - from enabling 2FA individually or based on groups to implementing IP Whitelisting & Blocking and Brute Force 2FA Protection, our solution provides a complete security coverage.
Furthermore, our team is committed to providing customized solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each organization.
While we regret not being able to join you in person at the event, we welcome the opportunity to engage with government teams through personalized meetings to discuss their requirements and their experiences at the event.
If you have any questions or would like to see our 2FA plugin in action you can reach out to us at atlassiansupport@xecurify.com or raise a ticket here.
