Hey App Central!
Last week at Move Work Forward, we decided to take a break from our daily routines and clear our schedules, minds, and to-do lists to focus on innovative ideas that can improve our business operations and provide customers with tools to make their work more efficient.
We called it Innovation Days. We based it on a list of ideas we established during our recent team offsite and decided to turn some of these ideas into reality. Although they are not finished products just yet 😉, we believe this exercise really sparked creativity and got our team thinking beyond our day-to-day work.
You can read more about our innovation day journey here: http://www.moveworkforward.com/blog/the-importance-of-hackathons-and-innovation-days-in-todays-tech-landscape
We would love to hear from you. Have you organized Innovation Days with your teams in the past, or participated in Hackathons? What did you think?
@Chad Sajovic- Move Work Forward great article! I am on the Ops side, so I have never participated in or coordinated a Innovation Day/Hackathon, but have always enjoyed watching the teams involved and the ideas that have some out of them.
Thanks @Andy Gladstone
As part of the marketing team, I'm also usually on the outside looking in. However, we found a way to get our nontechnical teammates involved more in the ideation, testing and GTM strategy. It was a really interesting way to get involved!
