It would be helpful to have more documentation regarding what to expect when using the app - are these just webviews, or are they all custom UI with the REST API feeding the data? 

Additionally, it would be great to know what kind of security you're using in your web connections from the installed add-on to the desktop app. 

Currently the FAQ has no questions nor answers, and there is not a section in the user guide regarding anything but installation and login. 

I would want more before I even tried out this app.

The current version of the Desktop App for Jira connects with Jira through their Rest API's and uses API Token Auth in Jira Cloud, and PAT Auth in Jira DataCenter. 

In terms of the connection between the Jira add-on & the desktop app, it's done through Rest API's, currently we only provide one API for license activation.

About the docs, our team is working on filling that out, I will keep you posted once it's done.
