A key feature we’ve been working on missed the release train last week.
We probably could have shipped it. It was fine. But when we started Released, we set out to build a product we are proud of. And the feature just wasn’t quite there yet.
We still published our release notes, like we do every week. However, we used the opportunity to talk about integrations we’ve been working on. Some of those integrations didn’t require a single line of code, but consist entirely of documentation. Does that still qualify for a release note? Absolutely.
Release notes aren’t strictly about code that has shipped. Use them as a way to communicate with your customers about anything product related that is relevant to them.
And that feature that missed the train… we released it today!
