Hi everyone! Unito has some new features and what better place to share them than right here?
But first, what's Unito? It’s a tool that syncs your favorite work management tools so that you can work in both — across teams and projects — and still feel like you’re just in one tool. That means cards created in Trello show up as issues in Jira, comments from Jira users show up in Trello, and more!
Now, I promised you new features, so here they are:
With Unito, you can sync attachments between your tools so everyone can get a look at what’s going on. Screenshots, video, text files, you name it and it’s synced. But before today, if you were syncing attachments between two different tools, you needed an account in both in order to access the attachments. We’ve streamlined the process, meaning you now only need an account in one tool to access attachments. So if you have a team who stays in Trello, they can still see any attachments another team sends over from Jira. Much easier for everyone involved.
Trello is one of the most popular work management tools out there, and more Unito users work in Trello than any other tool. Nailing this integration has always been a priority for us. We can now officially say that we sync all of Trello’s native fields! Comments, users, attachments, you name it, we sync it. Use Unito to create a master board, or sync cards between multiple boards so all your teams have eyes on them.
The vision for Unito has always been to save you time setting up your tools so you can focus on what you’re doing instead of how you’re doing it. Because of this, we strive to make Unito as easy to use as possible. This new feature is a big step in that direction! Now, instead of having to go through the whole process of creating a sync, you can duplicate previous syncs to keep your workflow intact across projects and boards. Just pick the sync you want to duplicate, follow a few steps, and you’re done!
Usually, users have the same email addresses across their tools. That makes it simple for Unito to map them and keep track of all their contributions. However, if those emails were different, you’d need to map them to each other for every sync you created that involved them. Not anymore! Now, you only need to map these users once rather than on a sync-by-sync basis. Saves time and headaches.
We’re constantly improving here at Unito. There are plenty more features in the works, and we’ll keep you posted when we have another big release. Are there any features you’d like to see? Or any questions you have about Unito? Drop a comment below!
