Atlassian Marketplace has been around for 6 years now, being a continuation of the Atlassian Plugin Exchange platform. In this time, dozens of vendors around the globe have released over 5,600 apps for various Atlassian tools, generating over $350 million in total sales. This year, Atlassian have launched the Top Vendor program to distinguish the hard work and dedication of those who contribute the most value to the User Community. We've received the founding Gold Top Vendor status, so here's what we've managed to do to achieve it.
Deviniti started 14 years ago as InTENSO - a company delivering custom solutions to enterprise customers (here's more about our history). When Atlassian introduced the Marketplace, we were already a Solution Partner, but we had only one person making apps back then. Now it is a 40-person team that develops, maintains, supports and delivers them, and we're still growing to maximize our effort in providing our clients with Technology-Driven Results. We've got 10 certified Atlassian Experts who own a total of 25 certificates in different areas of administering the whole array of Atlassian software.
Our Partnership with Atlassian started in 2005. Back then, it was mainly based on providing services - helping companies with the choice, implementation, and configuration of Atlassian tools. We still do it now, but since the Apps department emerged, we've been experiencing even faster growth and more appreciation within the Ecosystem. In 2011, we became a Platinum Solution Partner, and 6 years later we earned the Enterprise status.
One of our first apps was Dynamic Forms for Jira. It was originally a custom feature developed for a banking institution in Poland, and releasing it on the Marketplace was just an experiment for us. It turned out a real success only when we introduced the feature to the Customer Portal - this time on request of MetLife Poland. It became the foundation of Extension for Jira Service Desk - our flagship product that made us one of the leaders of the ITSM segment in the Ecosystem. Another example of an app that we've built on a customer's request is Issue Templates for Jira - we've made it for Allegro, the biggest e-commerce marketplace in Poland. The customer-oriented model of building products and the long-term collaboration mindset directly flow out from our history as a company and works very well for us, as we continue adding features and fixes requested by users.
In total, by now we've released 31 apps for Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, Confluence and Bitbucket in 6 years of our contribution to the Atlassian Marketplace. They were designed to support our customers in 3 main areas: Jira Service Desk, Jira Software, and Requirements & Test Management. Part of the apps is no longer supported, and the other part is downloadable for free because delivering value has always been our top priority.
In 2016, we've reached the first 1000 companies using our apps for Atlassian products. By dedication to our clients and constant feedback exchange, we've managed to grow up to 5000+ enterprise customers and help implement our solutions successfully for ~5 million end users. 27% of Fortune 500 corporations are using our apps right now, including the likes of Airbnb, Airbus, American Express, Apple, Cisco, HP, IBM, Intel, Mercedes-Benz, NASA or Spotify, to name just a few.
Live events are a big part of connecting the Atlassian Ecosystem and sharing knowledge about using this software. We always like to take part in the annual Atlassian Summit and other events organized by Solution Partners. In 2014, we sponsored the Summit for the first time, and we continue doing it with great pleasure. But also, having been the first-ever Atlassian Platinum Enterprise Partner in Poland, we wanted to make a great effort and promote the use of Atlassian software in our country. Naturally, we decided on hosting our own events in Poland to gather Atlassian Experts and enthusiasts from around Europe. In 2013, we held the first edition of Jira Day in Warsaw, which scored 50 attendees, and we already felt like it was a success for us. But 5 years later, Jira Day 2018 appeared to be the biggest Atlassian-related conference in Central Europe with 380 attendees, 18 speakers, and 13 Partners and vendors.
