Enable advanced search only in JQL but not from issue navigator

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to enable a searcher for a custom field only by API (SearchProvider or SearchService inside a plugin)

but this have to be at the same time not searchable by JIRA advanced search in issue navigator.

Is that possible?

You can try plugins that introduce field level security:

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.

Not really - a field is either searchable or it is not. The advanced search is just an interface onto the actual search, it's not a separate search.
