Apache response time monitoring

SJ November 1, 2015

Hi Folks,

I am looking for a tool to monitor our JIRA instance response time. I need a tool to visualize apache response time in graph for each request. Please suggest any open source or commercial tool that is available to achieve this. And also i need a tool to achieve below things,

  1. How to check whether my JIRA instance down or not at any point of of time ?
  2. I want to get an alert(through mail) if the response time of some of the pages are more than the average response time ?

I was planning to use Nagios to achieve the above two points. But our JIRA instance is SSL enabled. So i am not sure how to use the check_http request here ? sad sad Please help me here and also suggest if there is any tools available in the market ?

Our tool SevOne NMS can monitor server response times, number of Apache instances, memory usage and other metrics. It can also alert when thresholds are exceeded, show trending and much, much more.

We use it to monitor our own JIRA instance for outage and performance issues.
