Hi guys

Anyone know if it's possible to restrict access to an Nfeed customfield using a user's usergroup?

i.e. prevent users from querying a field in an nfeed customfield if they belong to the 'customers' user group

Cheers

Scott

Hi Scott,
There is no field level security in JIRA and probably there will not be in near feature (please see here https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-1330).
Instead you can try addons that are on the marketplace:

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.quisapps.jira.jfs/server/overview
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.coresoftlabs.secure-fields.secure-fields/server/overview

Hi Volodymyr - not really what I'm after - I was hoping to get access to use properties from within nFeed queries for select - if there was something if $user.groups is accessible as an array I'm guessing not. Cheers

Now i see that you are asking about this addon https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.valiantys.jira.plugins.SQLFeed/server/overview. Please try to ask the question with tag "addon-com.valiantys.jira.plugins.sqlfeed" or put it to their JIRA: https://valiantys.atlassian.net/projects/NFEED/summary

That's why the question is tagged with nfeed.

Addon key is "addon-com.valiantys.jira.plugins.sqlfeed" and there is chance that somebody from nFeed team watches this tag and that's what you get when you press the Atlassian answers from addon's support page. Probably they do not watch nfeed tag.
